It's starting to look like Christmas (free printable)

Ok so maybe I'm a little early, but I wanted to try this Advent Calendar idea for the first time and it takes some planning ahead! The idea is to do something fun with my kids Christmas related 24 days in a row.  So I created a list (and checked it far more than twice) and made little cards for each day, some of mine repeat (like watch a Christmas Movie, and drink Hot Chocolate), but I've uploaded it in PDF if you want to use mine, or in Word Doc so you can edit it to meet your needs.

Some of these I'll put in little bags with coordinating gifts: new Christmas cookie cutters,  a new movie/book, or the pieces needed for anything crafty.... and maybe I'll even remember to post pictures of them later. Small items or when it's just the card telling an activity I want to wrap in cute decorate toilet paper rolls.

Visit to Moody Garden & Galveston

In a previous post I stated that I wanted to take the boys to Moody Gardens in Galveston, so this year for Sully's 3rd Birthday I finally took them. There is so much to see that it is exhausting to do in one day.
Sully and Kaleb looking at the stingray
Sully touching the starfish

Trying to find some sharks

The boys loved it and I think their favorite was the aquarium, just like mommy!

The day before going to Moody Gardens we took the ferry over to the beach, it was too windy for me to swim but the boys loved it.
Kaleb hated the ferry the first time

But he loved the beach!

We also went to play putt-putt golf for the first time and it was hilarious!

I'm Back

So it seems that it has been a long time since I wrote on here. Last year I noted that Kris and I split up and he moved to California... well it looks like that stuck, and earlier this month our divorced was finalized. He was in CA a year without seeing the boys and he saw them earlier this month when we all went to the beach. Yes it was awkward, yes I cried, but the boys needed to see him and it doesn't matter that I was uncomfortable.

I spent most of that year just with the boys and working. I had no interests outside of being with them any trying to pull myself back together. Kaleb went to PreK and though I wasn't a fan of his teacher he did learned some things and seemed to enjoy it most of the time. He played tball this year and LOVED it! Sully was sad that he couldn't play too. I absolutely loved watching him play and I hope to keep him playing for many years to come.

Now Kaleb is in karate. He's such a big ball of energy I'm hoping this will help teach him to focus and calm down. Plus the karate academy has a Summer Day Camp that he will go to for a few weeks so he can have some fun this summer!

Ok so maybe you're wondering about me... Recently after months of just being a hermit in my spare time I have decided that it's time to open myself back up and date. Upon the urging of my sister I finally agreed to go out with someone. It has been a few weeks now and we both seem to like each other but I'm still in that nervous "does he like me? Is this going anywhere?" stage. Honestly I don't know, and I may never know, that's really up to him... but I guess at least I'm trying. I'm not sure what to say about all of this, lol.

It is WAY harder to date now that it was before I was married!
